Natural Health International Beauty Awards 2019 are now closed!

Every year we celebrate the very best in holistic and complementary beauty with the Natural Health International Beauty Awards. Our expert panel of judges test out all manner of products – from cleansers and eye creams to foundations and nail polishes – and we deliver the result to our readers so they can make informed choices when buying natural products.

The Natural Health International Beauty Awards will:

  • Provide trusted expert recommendations to help consumers make better choices when buying natural beauty products
  • Showcase natural beauty products that are free from chemicals such as parabens, SLS, petroleum, silicones and derivatives
  • Highlight the key benefits of the winning brands
  • Only award the best products with strong natural and ethical credentials

How it works

We test EVERY single natural beauty product entered into the awards. Here's how the judging process works.

Stage 1

Sorting and shortlist

Products need to be entered online (closing date 8th March 2019), and then sent to our offices for initial testing. The knowledgeable beauty editors will then sort each item, based on a strict criteria which covers the natural beauty ingredients used.

Stage 2

Judging round

The products in each category will then be sent to our expert judges, who will rate the products on individual merit, including their efficacy, plus ethical, natural and organic credentials. Our judges will pick a winner in each category, as well as two highly commended products.

Stage 3

Winners announced

Winners will be announced and presented with an award at a special ceremony. All winners and highly commended brands will also be showcased in a special mini magazine that will appear in the September issue of Natural Health magazine (on sale 8th August 2019).

The non-natural ingredients we endeavour to exclude include:
aluminium, artificial fragrance, diethanolaine (DEA), formaldehyde, parabens (butyl-, ethyl- or methylparaben) petroleum (petrolatum) or mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum), petroleum derived products (e.g. propylene glycol), silicones and derivatives (e.g. dimethicone), sodium lauryl sulphate, talc, triethanolamine (TEA).
