It’s one of our favourite days of the year! Flip your pancakes in style with these quick and easy recipes:
Get your pancake fix with this delicious stack made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You’ll be scoffing these sticky and sweet pancakes safe in the knowledge that you are supporting British farmers and producers at the same time. Ingredients
220g plain flour
30g soft butter
2 large eggs, beaten
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp white stevia
Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl and make a well in the centre. Pop the eggs and milk into the middle of the well and combine. Beat until you get a smooth batter. Heat butter in a pan on a medium-hot heat and ladle in the batter. Cook on one side until bubbles start to appear for a minute or two then flip to brown the other side, again for a minute or so. Layer with slices of banana and top with crispy bacon, honey and blueberry compote for a scrumptious sweet/savoury twist!
Tip: Make a quick berry compote but heating a handful of berries with 1 tsp of water and a 2 tsp of stevia until the berries have popped and mix becomes juicy.
